Rickie Lee Jones Albany Concert reviews
95% politics - just okay
If you significantly lean to the right and follow politics to the extreme, you will probably really like this show. Since the elections, I've felt that Rickie Lee Jones needed counseling as he let the elections affect his life too much. Nobody should give their life or happiness so much control over one event that occurs. I don't align with any political party. I can laugh at both sides but Bills comedy falls too much to one side. I went to the show as the other reviews indicated Bill brought other comedians. On a related note, sitting in the audience, I was a bit uncomfortable. Some of it was Bill making fun of something but he didn't have the story straight. The remaining 5% that was not political was very entertaining. The show I attended was just Bill. The shows was based on 95% political humor of sorts. The people that attended are the same group that protested Trump during the elections. They are the same group of extremists that are violent if they are opposed. The venue and Rickie are aware of this as they use metal detectors and do pat downs at the door. Some of it was pretty funny. I didn't think about this issue at all until I was entering the venue. I chose not to go anywhere near any kind of election event as I just don't want to be around these type of people. As I said, I don't fall with any political party. Anything could set those that attended off. There was just a weird vibe to the audience.
